Where to go in Brno?
One of the oldest squares in Brno has always been a busy venue for trading and meeting people in the city. Only recently was his secret discovered - the underground labyrinth of corridors, hiding up to 8 meters below the surface. Visitors can see the mysterious corner of the corridors, the archaeological collection, the alchemical laboratory or the historic tavern.
The castle on the hill of the same name in the past served to protect the Czech state, and it was also used as a military fortress or prison for the biggest criminals and political prisoners. The campus also includes a bell tower composed of 15 bells, a lookout tower or a casemate, a dark hall filled with lots of mysteries. Concerts or theater performances are also often held in the castle courtyard.
The most famous villa in Brno on the UNESCO list from the end of the 1920s is considered an architectural monument. The interiors boast expensive and rare materials from all over the world, and the technical background of the house was ahead its time. At present, visitors can see a permanent exhibition detailing the architect and family life until 1938.
