Leo Express Strenghthens Its Management Team
The Company Continues Its International Expansion
Prague, July 17 2026
Leo Express is continuing preparations for the next phase of its development in the Czech Republic and abroad. In recent months, the company has significantly strengthened its leadership and key specialist teams by recruiting experienced managers and railway experts from both the Czech Republic and international markets. In addition to attracting new talent, several former managers have also returned to the company after gaining valuable experience at leading European railway and technology companies.
These personnel changes are part of Leo Express’s long-term strategy to build a strong international team that will support the company’s further growth, the development of new projects, digitalisation initiatives, and expansion across European markets.
A major change is the appointment of Maxim Kysil as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and statutory representative of Leo Express s.r.o. and Leo Express Tenders s.r.o. He is responsible for managing the operations of the entire group, increasing efficiency, implementing modern technologies, and coordinating individual business divisions.
As Operations Director, Martin Bala has assumed the role of professionally competent person and statutory representative of Leo Express Slovensko. He is now responsible for operational safety across the entire group and for harmonising operating standards in all countries where Leo Express operates.
The responsibilities of Veronika Stránská, who has led the Human Resources department for the past four years, are also being significantly expanded. In addition to HR, she now oversees facility and office management, including the development of the working environment and administrative support across the group. She has also temporarily taken over responsibility for onboard staff management. These changes aim to further strengthen the company culture, support employee satisfaction, and create a modern workplace that reflects the needs of a dynamically growing international company.
The carrier is also increasing the representation of women in leadership positions. Hana Pechačová, an experienced manager, has returned to Leo Express as Head of Onboard Operations, building on her extensive experience as an operational safety trainer and railway professional. The onboard operations team is further strengthened by Radka Nováková, Onboard Staff Manager, who brings valuable expertise in operational management and in-depth knowledge of the German railway market.
The commercial team is also expanding significantly. Three experienced railway specialists have joined the company’s German branch, while in the Czech Republic David Török, who previously worked for leading railway technology manufacturers, has joined the team.
At the end of last year, Jan Renc also returned to the company. He is currently responsible for rolling stock procurement and fleet management, drawing on experience gained within European railway and financial groups.
Further expansion of responsibilities is taking place within the commercial division. Chief Commercial Officer Jiří Nekuža has assumed responsibility for customer service and the ticket office network. His team has been strengthened by Marián Strelecký, who now manages the call centre and ticket offices.
Leo Express is also continuing to expand its international presence. In addition to strengthening its German team, the company is growing its activities in Poland and has recently filled the position of Business Developer for Ukraine. In this way, Leo Express is systematically building the foundation for further development of cross-border transport services and new business opportunities throughout Europe. As part of this effort, the company is also focusing on developing employees’ language skills and providing training in European railway technologies.
“People are our greatest competitive advantage. That is why we consistently invest both in attracting top talent from the market and in developing our own employees. We want to be a company that offers not only modern trains and high-quality services for passengers, but also an attractive working environment and exciting career opportunities. Thanks to our cooperation with our strategic partner Renfe, our employees have the opportunity to participate in projects with a truly European dimension. A strong team is the foundation of our future growth,” said Peter Köhler, CEO of Leo Express.
