Global Rolling Stock Manager

Leo Express is a leading alternative rail passenger company with a friendly and inspiring work atmosphere, full of hardworking people and bold ideas. We are now looking for an experienced industry leader, who will lead our technological efforts across several teams and geographies. Your focus will be to manage and develop a rolling stock fleet strategy, securing new rolling stock, taking into account international trends and innovations in the supply industry, working across several regions in Central Europe.

What will be your tasks? 

• Overseeing Leo Express fleet concept and securing new rolling stock. 
• Monitoring of new trends and suppliers, developing / co-developing innovative solutions, industrial patterns and patents. 
• Introducing new technologies into production. 
• Overseeing overall life cycle concepts, including maintenance, energy costs, overhaul costs, availability of spare parts etc. 
• Managing internal Leo Express teams, close cooperation with Business Development Team / different group companies and regions. 
• Responsibility for the smooth running of technical teams within the company. 
• Leading, motivating, coordinating and evaluating subordinate staff. 
• Leading business negotiations to achieve the lowest possible prices for rolling stock, materials, spare parts and services. 
• Creating relationships and selecting suitable suppliers and deals with their evaluation. 
• Monitoring ECM responsibilities and maintenance activities.  
• Monitoring and implementing national requirements and regulations. 
• Implementation of operational procedures and standards. 
• Optimization of processes including spare-parts management. 
• Developing and monitoring of maintenance budgets.  

 What do we expect from you? 

• Completed university degree in a technical field. 
• Proven experience in maintenance planning and / or rolling stock procurement. 
• Previous work experience in the transport industry. 
• Excellent knowledge of English and native in Czech or Slovak. Other languages of advantage. 
• Hands-on mindset, logical and analytical thinking. 
• Advanced knowledge of MS office (especially excel).
