Additional services on the Warsaw – Kraków – Prague route. Since March, Leo Express has transported 180,000 passengers on this line
Advance ticket sales are growing
Prague, June 8 2026
From 25 June, the carrier will add additional services on the Warsaw – Kraków – Prague route. In each direction on the key domestic route Warsaw – Kraków and back, a total of four Leo Express services will operate daily. At the same time, the number of connections between Warsaw and Prague will increase to three per day in each direction. From 14 June, Leo Express will also newly stop at Zator, home to Poland’s largest amusement park, Energylandia.
Since the launch of the new Warsaw – Kraków – Prague line on 1 March 2026, Leo Express has carried 180,000 passengers on these services. Of these, 100,000 passengers travelled on international routes between the Czech Republic and Poland or on domestic services within Poland.
“Poland remains an important market for Leo Express. Passenger demand is confirmed both by current load factors and advance ticket sales. Passenger numbers are growing month on month, and 45,000 tickets have already been sold in advance for the June to August period on the Warsaw – Kraków – Prague line, three quarters of which are cross-border tickets or tickets within the Polish section of the route,” says Peter Köhler, CEO of Leo Express.
At the same time, from 14 June Leo Express will add a new stop on selected services in Zator, where Poland’s largest amusement park, Energylandia, is located. This modern complex is one of the largest amusement parks in Central Europe and offers dozens of attractions for all age groups – from family rides and themed zones for younger visitors to world-class adrenaline roller coasters. The park also includes a large water park as well as numerous restaurants and relaxation areas. The service from Warsaw and Kraków arrives in Zator at 10:55 and departs on the return journey at 17:50, making it ideal for a full-day trip.
Growing number of services, passengers, and occupancy
Leo Express currently operates two return services on the Warsaw – Kraków – Prague route. Since the beginning of March, it has carried 180,000 passengers on this line, including 100,000 passengers on international or domestic services within Poland. Due to growing demand, occupancy, and advance sales for June to August, the carrier is adding another international return service. This will also increase the number of services on the domestic Warsaw – Kraków route, which Leo Express launched on 1 March 2026, to a total of four per day in each direction.

8 years in Poland
Leo Express has been operating in Poland since 2018, when it became the first private rail operator to launch services from the Czech Republic to Kraków, opening the Polish rail market to other private carriers. It offers passengers a high level of travel comfort, including fast 5G Wi-Fi connectivity, a wide range of onboard refreshments such as traditional Polish żurek soup for 6 PLN, popular Czech fried cheese, or Asian specialities, as well as attentive onboard staff providing meal delivery directly to seats. For more demanding passengers, Premium Sleeper class is available, where seats can be adjusted into a sleeping position, offering a highly comfortable space not only for sitting but also for full rest during the journey.
In addition to the Prague – Kraków line and the extension to Warsaw from 1 March, Leo Express also launched a regular bus service between Kraków and Lviv in April. Air-conditioned buses with Wi-Fi and toilets connect to train services between Kraków and the Czech Republic. Passengers can also use the new domestic Kraków – Warsaw service.
