Couchette cars are currently available on the Frankfurt – Dresden – Prague – Ostrava – Kraków – Przemyśl route and in the opposite direction. Thanks to this comfortable overnight connection, you can travel conveniently between Germany, Czechia and Poland without having to arrange accommodation or change trains.

On-board services

Your ticket includes a welcome pack as well as a generous breakfast, both free of charge. A wake-up service at an agreed time is also available, and additional refreshments can be purchased on board.

Comfort throughout the night

Each passenger is provided with a pillow, blanket, mattress protector, duvet cover and bedsheet. Compartments can be locked, and a steward is present in the car throughout the night to ensure safety and a peaceful environment.

On-board facilities

The car is equipped with air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, 230 V power sockets and USB charging ports. There is also plenty of storage space, as well as shared toilets and washbasins at both ends of the car.

Questions & Answers

What is included in the ticket price?

The ticket price includes a hygiene pack with two bottles of still Mattoni water (2 × 0.5 l), earplugs and an eye mask.

Breakfast is also included and consists of orange juice, crispbread, butter, jam, processed cheese, a cinnamon roll, Nutella, and coffee or tea.

Additional refreshments can be ordered from our Menu during the journey.

How are the berths arranged?

The berths are arranged in four-berth compartments, with two pairs of bunks. If a passenger does not select a women-only compartment when booking, a berth in a mixed compartment will be reserved automatically.

How does the quiet period work in couchette cars?

Passengers travelling in Leo Express couchette cars are required to observe the designated quiet period. The times vary depending on the service:

LE 232 Przemyśl–Frankfurt: 22:14–05:59
LE 235 Frankfurt–Przemyśl: 22:12–05:36

On-board staff ensure that the quiet period is observed. Passengers who fail to respect the quiet period may be excluded from transport.

How is the compartment arranged during the day and at night?

During the day, the compartment is configured for comfortable seating. In the evening, at approximately 22:00, the on-board staff will assist with converting the berths into their sleeping position.

Are toilets and washbasins available in the couchette car?

Yes. Leo Express couchette cars have shared facilities, with toilets and washbasins located at both ends of the car.

How many people can travel in one compartment?

A couchette compartment accommodates 1 to 4 passengers. It has four berths arranged on two levels.

Can I choose a women-only compartment?

Yes. When booking, you can select a women-only compartment, available to women and children of the opposite sex under the age of 10. If you do not select this option, your berth will be assigned according to current availability.

Are Wi-Fi and charging facilities available?

Yes. The couchette car offers free Wi-Fi, 230 V power sockets and USB charging ports.
