Leo Express launches summer menu

Prague, 13 of June 2024 - Leo Express follows current trends and areas of gastronomy and introduces a new on-board menu every three months. In the summer, the carrier took into account passenger feedback and added new vegan and gluten-free dishes or fresh fruit. But it has also kept the classics, such as Czech or Asian cuisine, which are popular with passengers. This is evidenced by the fact that in the first five months of the year, the number of orders rose to almost 75,400, 1,000 more than last year.  

"For the summer menu, we focused on flavors and ingredients that we associate with summer. You can start your journey with a refreshing fruit salad or a Caprese baguette. Main courses are inspired by Czech and international cuisine.  We've chosen Garlic Beef with Spinach and Potato Dumplings, Strawberry Dumplings with Curd, or Poké with Salmon and Miso Dressing. Main dishes, in particular, have sold an average of 60% more per day this past period than last spring. Ice cream continues to be a hit, with our best-selling strawberry sorbet alone selling over 50 units a day," says Petr Vrabec, catering specialist at Leo Express. 

More vegan and gluten-free products based on feedback 

Based on customer feedback, Leo Express has expanded its vegan and gluten-free products. Gluten-free options include a fresh fruit mix, an oat bar in two flavors, and a mango and coconut-flavored dessert in a cup. Vegan options include a mango or strawberry sorbet, a Mexican bowl with nachos, guacamole, a plant-based alternative to chicken and vegetables or a chocolate cup with raspberries. 

Leo Express also gathers authentic feedback from passengers through product tastings. For the spring menu, tastings were held at the Ostrava-Svinov and Prague ticket offices. Passengers will be informed about the plans for the summer menu tastings on Leo Express social media in due course.
