“Today I differ from my cartoon character. I have longer hair and glasses,” says Lea smiling. The main idea was to create a Leo Express guide who could speak to younger customers. In addition, her first name miraculously matches with the corporate name of the train operator. It was her fate. “I have always appreciated Leo Express as a modern company with a complex approach to passenger transport. They follow the latest trends in technology, environmental protection or diet."

From translations to marketing
Currently a student of master’s degree in German-Czech Translation and Interpreting, Lea accepted challenge of communicating with international partners. As a student of translation, she had to master Czech as well, which helps her in writing marketing texts and articles. She started her career with no education in marketing, she learnt everything on the go thanks to her determination and responsibility, but also through collaboration.
All for passengers
Her daily ‘grind’ is the social media. She makes sure customers have all the necessary information about trains and operations. She writes, takes pictures, speaks to people. She takes full responsibility for Facebook and Instagram advertising. She is also engaged in marketing projects such as Carbon Off set or Leo Credit Sale. She writes and translates articles for the website and she takes care of the agenda of our affiliate partners and OTAs (Online Travel Agencies). “One of the big projects I took part in was the launch of the line to Krakow. I remember the feeling of fulfilment when the first train left Bohumín and headed for the Polish border,” says Lea with excitement. She likes to say that trains are simply sexy, and that she considers railways the most interesting and dynamic industry.
